This is without a doubt the happiest song on earth for me! Kylie's WOW video debut today on Perez Hilton's site, go here to view the AWESOME music video or click below
And then I found this gem of her performing this awesome number at UK's show X-Factor.
I've got to spend more time online cuz this totally escaped me this past week. One of my favourite 80's diva is due to release a full CD titled Satisfied. The first single off the album is titled Beautiful and nah, it is NOT a remake of Ms. Aguilera's hit. This one is funky, soulful, the way only Taylor can.
Ms. Straight Up is BACK. New track collaboration another AI judge, Randy Jackson. Good song but the melody is weak non? The MV better be fierce with tight choreography, with a song title like this how can she not?
I am starting to realize my choice to move into this department is not by sheer coincidence. By some divine intervention, it is what I needed to shake things up, to sober me and align things and give me renewed perspective. While on vacay, a few new files were assigned and they are starting to fill up my calendar in the next few weeks. This week I had two back to back meetings with some new clients. Unexpectedly both Asian. Both younger than me. One even reminded me of me when I was that age. One was 19 and the other 29 turning 30 in a week. They lost so much. They are almost childlike due to their injuries but they smile and were motivated. One learnt to play a small keyboard while going through initial rehabilitation, the other wanted to guess which country I was born in throughout the entire appointment but he was not able to hold on to a topic for more than a minute. All manifesting what a split second unfortunate event can do to a body, a mind. On my way back to the office I reflected about the things I often gripe about, how minute are my issues when others are barely managing? How can one who has a functioning body and mind be bitter, complain or rant about anything?
I survived the first week of work after being away on vacay for 3 weeks. I can't recall the last time I worked a full 5-day work week, been a while I think. Even my partner pointed that out. Anyhoo, it felt like forever before today came around. I think my body is still getting used to being up and about before 7 am and I hope to back into the swing of things by next week! But what a work week. I did not think I would EVER get through my stack of reports at work. What is wrong with my service providers all conspiring to write their 5 page reports simultaneously when I am away. I skimmed through most of it and decided I'll find time to go back to them through the next month or so. This week also brought a lingering scare. A scare that got me all stressed out. This will make me sound absolutely spoiled but my work almost took back the company car. Not because they think I am having sex in it but rather this colleague's SUV is on its last leg and she wants another company vehicle and since I am only on an acting assignment at this office, my manager very kindly warned me that I may lose it. I wanted to plead that the blue mobile has became my right arm and that I cannot live without it but I was brave and bit my quivering lip and said 'ok' and smiling the whole time. He then promised that he will write up a business proposal for the powers that be to approve another car for my colleague then I won't have to lose her. Her meaning the blue mobile la. And yesterday he walked over and to my relief he said all is well, I get to keep me right arm. I wanted to wrap my arms around him then to show my gratitude but that would not go well. I know I know, how dare I cuz having a work car is a luxury not a birth right but those who know the magnitude of what it does for me will understand. Whew, a close one, I hope I move from 'acting' to the real thing soon. As Take That sings it...all I do each night is pray.
Yes, Gary Barlow, no clothes in this one! And they vogue in this one as well!
Sadly new addition to our family of 'i's had to return to her place of birth. The JBL docking station lacked in bass which is necessary for me to enjoy my pod tunes and despite the futuristic design it also lacked the basic option of a remote. If only Bose will create one with FM radio then I am set. Or maybe I'll get the Bose one day and just listen to radio on our Sony DVD system? Hmm, something to consider.
This better bring her career back. OMG, I love this song. First listen was so so but it had certainly grown on me and her new video is slamming. Her outfits are wicked, strong vid concept and her dance moves, tight! I love the part in the video where she pulls her own hair and goes 'ah!', self inflicted S&M sweet! If this single bombs, then I'd have to say she should pack it up and leave this planet. I love this song! But what does she actually mean by 'asian persuasion', is she promoting that movie by Brandon Lee, hmm.
