I have to be honest. I had little to no expectation for this movie. I find Hugh Grant repulsive. I love Drew Barrymore and that was the lure for me. The movie, well, was so so, neither good nor bad, just 'is'. Opening sequence with the 80's induced music video was hilarious. The girl who played the 'superstar' was odd and not at all talented, kinda like a cross between Britney and Shakira but without the dance nor vocal abilities. Probably a better DVD rental than a full price ticket. I did laugh a little, moved during some scenes as well. I did like the song that Drew and Hugh allegedly wrote together. Maybe might be worth a download. And that dance step Hugh did with his hip thrusts combined with motorbike riding is too funny, maybe I should duplicate it on the dance floor next time I go dancing which I can't remember the last time. A tad rickety or hokey here and there plot wise, but very amusing dialogue, acting, production overall. Fluff at its best I guess.
