Monday, November 13, 2006 Dan's on Broadway So glad they're back. Having survived a fire, along with Modern Burger, Dan's on Broadway Japanese Restaurant is back. Actually we have never been there prior to the fire. Had the fire not happened, I would never have noticed it. Arrived late after 9 pm for a quick dinner after a waste of a movie titled Borat ( I want my money and 84 minutes back), we dined on little plates of unique izakaya dishes. As it was 45 minutes to closing on a rainy Sunday night, we were alone with the servers and chef. Staples like Agedashi Tofu and Chicken Karaage were light, fluffy and simply delish, unique plates of Gindara (Sablefish), Nasu (Eggplant), Kani (Crab Salad) totally pricked our interest to return very soon. And more icing on the cake, its steps away from our place so we can dine a lot, wine a bunch and saunter home.
